Old Fuel
I have an old Audi A6 that has sat unused for the last seven months.
After a bit of faffing and a new battery, I got it to start and apparently run ok.
However, it does not want to idle.
Brief checks suggest that the car is ok and running on all cylinders.
Do you think the petrol can have gone off ? (past experience with karts and lawnmowers suggests that old fuel should be dumped)
The car was running fine when last used

Could be idle speed control valve sticking? take it off and clean with carb cleaner.

yes, fuel does go off, unless you put some fuel stabiliser in it before its left,
