The saga of waxing the tintop

So I got the hosepipe out and washed the tintop for the first time in about 6 months....

Sponged off the inches of cr*p and toweled the car down... (sad I know!)

Got the wax out and began rubbing it into the bonnet....A few seconds later I started to notice little white flies crawling on the bonnet...I brushed them off and began polishing that patch of wax....

Turned my back to pick up the wax again...looked round and the area of wax on the bonnet was completely crawling with these damn flies....

I tried to brush them off but most of the little buggers got squished into the wax

Had no option but to make a hasty retreat!!!

Needles to say, its now dark, the flies have flown off and I have a small shiny patch on the car and the rest looks a mess...

Plus the birds seem to have liked the bugs so they have cra**ed all over the clean car...

Why do I even bother!?!?!

BTCC was a bit brutal, wasn't it - must cost them a fortune in new body panels...

Yeah good BTCC this weekend!

As for the flies i do the bumpers in back to black or whatever cheapo equivalent i get my hands on and the flies love that! End up with thousands of them on it, not worth cleaning it in summer!

As stupid as this might sound, it was on the news last week that when the term 'hosepipe ban' is used, this is apparently only garden related. You could hose your car, your patio, your mountain bike... but if you hose your garden you are flouting the ban... what's that all about?!
