I have been trying to get a conventional fuel sender to work in my tank but being baffled and foam filled i am having trouble. I was wondering if there was a vertical type of sender? I have had a search but cant find anything?
you want one like this that slids up
DURITE MARINE WATER OR FUEL LEVEL SENDER 250MM 052592 | eBay UK
^^^
Dont think that would work
What you want is the vdo dip tube sender type as all the gubbins are inside the tube, not on the outside
Like these
You can get capacitance based sensors with no moving parts, but no idea of cost.
thanks guys, thats the sort of thing i mean. How does the dip tube work? the pictures dont explain it very well and i cant see any wires. Does it
have terminals on top? Also, i need it to work with a Koso digital speedo. Just been looking at the Koso and it sayd the fuel level reading is
100ohm/510 ohm, so i assume this wont work?
Edited, just seen that the VDO dip tubes seem to be 0 - 90 ohm, is there any way of making it work with a Koso?
