Q RS2000 16v safe max rpm

Hi,
We using Ford escort RS / scorpio 2.0 16v engine, want go for more rpm than stock - because engine want
Most engine stock, only con rod bolts ARP.

We dont know safe limit for valve springs and chain or other parts for this engine, so looking for ideas and advices

I'm no Ford engine expert, but it would seem that other than for huge £££ there are better engines to play with

First off 190 bhp @ 6850 rpm is very good however I don’t know off any standard Ford engine (Cosworth excepted) that can rev safely and continuously much above 7,000 rpm.
You can lighten the little ends for possibly another 200rpm

I take it that you racing in a restricted category that requires mostly standard parts.

From the factory 6500rpm continuous and 6825rpm max intermittant. The stock ecu has a rev limit at 6800 I believe.
Mounttune used to do a lot with this engine in the day maybe they could advise.
The sharp drop off in power on that power curve does look like it might have hit valve bounce above 7000rpm.

Want go to 7500-8000 RPM, but it is safe for this engine.
