Silvertop / Blacktop Coil Surpressor

Hi guys,

Just came to fit the coil pack to my build and noticed what I believe is a coil suppressor ( grey block with 2 pin connector )
The pack is of a Silvertop and I am building a blacktop arrangement.
On the wiring diagrams I have, I have not seen the suppressor shown, is it still fitted on a blacktop and if so, how is it wired?

Cheers all!

No hard and fast rules. Some have it some don’t. Depends on the cps wiring. Plain, helix spiral or shielded.

And the plug has just one pin and at 90 deg to normal

It has a short wire to the live of the coil pack and earths through the bracket.

Hi ya,

The suppressor i have has two pins, a junior power timer. I guess one is ground, maybe connected to the bracket but have to test, the other coil power. If its isolated, not through ground, my multimeter has capacitor testing. My wires are none twisted, guess as we don't have to worry about EMC for IVA its fine unless there have been issues of none twisted etc?
