I have decided I will not finish my MK Locost, so am now selling off the parts.

To start with:

Set 4 Protech 130/90 alloy adjustable platform shock absorbers, 12.5 in, with 8in 300 and 150 lb springs, 1/2 bushes, I bought them unused, and they are still unused. Complete with dyno sheets. £400

Set Compomotive Ford Escort fitting alloys, pair 6 x 13 and pair 7 x 13, black inners and polished outers. Rear tyres are good Kumho 205 / 60, front plenty of tread but not a pair. £400

Pair chrome 7in headlamps with QI lamps fitted. With side lamps. I bought as used, but they are excellent. £45

Pair Stuart Taylor Racing Ford engine mounts with 38mm Land Rover type rubber mounts. Unused £60

New Locost wiring loom, believed to be Tiger by MES Units, Warwick. Not the usual rubbish, and complete with relays, fuses, switch shrouds etc.
They always need modifying but this is a good place to start! £100

Rear axle is Ford Escort, with new Fiesta disc brakes and recon sierra calipers, aeroquip, rose jointed panhard rod, radius arms etc. Diff is 3.9. Complete ready to bolt in. Looking for £700.

Front axle is Cortina, all recon and plated etc, vented cross drilled discs and spaced M16 calipers, new ball joints and MK wishbones. Complete ready to bolt on. £600.

Chassis has fitted at the moment bias peddle box, 3 new Girling cylinders and reservoirs, new Escort quick rack, new track rod ends, modified Sierra steering column, with steering lock, key, switches and a Momo wheel, shame to split that as the hard work has been done! It is partly panelled, and has a roll over hoop. £600 includes an Escort V5.

Yellow bodywork, nose cone, front mudguards, rear mud guards with lights. £150

Cortina front mudguard stays, unbent! £40

Propshaft 5 speed to large flange English axle, with replaceable joints. £40

MK alloy fuel tank, I think about 6 gallon. No sender hole. Unused. £40

All parts are in Halifax. I can send stuff that can be packed. Paypal is not a problem.

Just to say that this has been built by me, and everything is done right! I am now retired but have been involved with Motorsport since 1970 as a competitor and for my business!

Possibly interested in the loom - is it just lights etc. Or does it include starter relay etc?
Also possibly the Cortina wing stays.

JC, the wiring loom is complete, starter, lights, instruments, steering lock etc. There is a diagram with it.

I have 2 guys interested in the complete project, just waiting for them to make a decision!

Please guys, a decision by Wednesday 31st, as there is also a lot of interest in many of the parts.

So nobody got back to me! What a surprise.

So I am now breaking it for parts. There is quite alot of interest in some items, so I will deal with those in order.

I just have to say that I have today purchased Colin's axle, and I can heartily recommend any work that he has done to modify components

The rear axle is an absolute work of art

Just worried that my work on the rest of my project will not match up to his high standards

Just to clarify the Compomotive wheels are ML, minilite type, T dimension on the 6in is 4.5in, T on the 7in is 4in.
