If the metal is really smooth once degreased etc key the surface with a flap disc or summat
Evening all, I seem to keep loosing magnets due to centrifugal force even when glued. How and with what are people bonding their Speedo magnets to the
prop flanges?

I used Araldite. Its still there after 8 year's.
The big question is "does the centrifugal force really exist?"
The absolutely most important thing is to ensure a spotlessly clean surface to glue it to, clean off with something like meths or thinners, NOT
petrol, paraffin or white spirit as all leave an oily deposit. You can also drill a few mm into the surface (won't affect balance - at least less
than sticking a magnet on without drilling!) so the glue can adhere up the sides as well as on the base.
I use JB weld, but any epoxy type adhesive should work as should anything like Siraflex or Tigerseal, but those take at least 24 hours to fully cure,
I've never had a magnet come off as yet
As above cleaning the surface is the main thing to get right.

I used a two part adhesive to glue two magnets on the edge of the flange at the diff end of my Sierra prop. They never came off.
I made sure the magnets and flange surface were very clean before gluing.
If yours are coming off could you not use some carefully positioned cable ties around them to help secure them (make sure the clip bits of the ties
won't hit the sensor)?

OK, I'll bite. No it doesn't. But centripetal does.
a above you can make magnets stick, but the HAL effect sensors that read the bolt heads is the other option if you get fedup with the magnets
