Why don't people leave Feedback ???

I've just realised I've never bothered to check if people leave feedback on Ebay after I've sold them something. Just as well I did, I reckon 20% of people have never bothered to leave it, so I've messaged them all asking for it.

Why can't people just play the game and not be lazy arses

The only time I don't leave feedback is when I've not used/tested the item yet.
I don't leave feedback just 'cos it's arrived

I have been hassled by sellers for feedback in the past, but once I've explained they understand. Well, apart from one a couple of years ago that hassled me so much I left a negative saying "here's the feedback you hassled me for"

I reckon a polite request for feedback is fine though

I generally leave feedback once I've got the item and tested it.

What I personally really, really, really hate is feedback messages like

from business sellers.

I had an idot that hassed me for feedback before i recieved the item!
I ignored it as i can understand why it was sent, and waited for the item to arive.
Item arrived and 1 day later he started getting aggressive with me for not leaving feedback.
What an idiot!
Asking is fine, but getting aggressive is stupid, they will leave a negative.

I got burned after leaving feedback for a starter arriving, tried it out and it just burnt out straight away!

I leave feedback after testing now.

Its just such a mission to fill in all the fields for every item when you leave feedback...

Just give me a posative, netural or negative box and an optional feedback field...

I'm the same, I want to make sure the part I've bought actually works before I leave feedback, otherwise I cant do much about it if I find out it's knackered and I've already left +ve feedback just because it arrived

Not something I've encountered much - must have over 350 eBay transactions and can probably count on the one hand how many folk have not left feedback.

Personally I dont like the feedback system as I dont like people seeing what I have purchased. Not that I buy any risque bits I just think its an invasion of privacy.

Agree with everything else just think the actual items purchased should remain private.

i try and leave feedback, but it does take nearly one minute of my time, thats time i could be clicking on 'locostbuilders' to see if anyone has posted a new thread.

ebay is becoming an online dodgy market now, very few of the things i have got recently have been to a quality displayed/described in the add,

Yeah, i certainly tend to hold fire untill ive tested the item before logging feed back but basicaly always leave it within a few days or a week.
- If its more than about a fortnight and ive not been able to test it i will often leave feedback stating i have not yet tested it but its arrived safe and looks ok. Typically for low-cost things i just havnt got around to doing anything with.

That's what happens at a public auction. Ebay is just the same.
What I object to is the; "I will leave you feedback after you leave me a positive" from sellers.
If you pay promptly, then you should get a positive feedback regardless.
Reactive feedback should not be allowed. Nor should buyers be allowed to leave negatives out of pettyness before trying to resolve the issue with the seller.
What really hacks me off is sellers who demand that you leave them a positive first and then don't bother to leave you any afterwards.
Just my views on the matter.

What peas me off is when a seller is asking for feed back before they will leave any. My payment is always made before the item is ever posted and as far as I'm concerned the seller should leave feedback first.
