Clutch adjustment

Hi all,

I took my mk indy blade out for a spin yesterday.

All was fine until I came to a junction where I couldn't change gear, the car stalled and every time I tried to re start it would pull forwards like it was stuck in gear.

After messing about I finally got it into first and back up the gear to get home. (Only about 500meters away)

When I got home I discovered it was the clutch cable/pedal.

It didn't seem to be springing back into place.

I had a little play and I can get it into first and neutral but nothing else and the pedal is really floppy.

Any suggestions? Does it just need the cable adjusting as does it sound like more?

Sounds like somethings broken
Cable possibly
You need to see how mucj movement there is on the clutch arm on the engine when you operate the pedal first

Have a look at the bracket on the engine casing, these can twist if you have heavy duty springs, more lightly to be the nipple having slipped on the cable if it's a made up one, bound to be the pedal end where you cannot easily service it !
