The question is does anyone one have a set of plans for a locost based on a MX5 . I have seen a few posts on this but no links that seem to work

I'm currently building the Haynes roadster incorporating the Saturn plans using Mx5 running gear

The plans may seem incomplete because they're based on the 'build a car on a budget' book. As far as I know, there are no complete sets that are online only, you have to buy the book and then the various modification documents will make sense.

Locost chassis plans for an MX5 donor

Hello all.

I am having trouble getting any links to free plans to download.
I am mostly interested in plans that use the MX5 as a donor.
There is Voudo and Saturn, but I can't seem to find a downloadable set of plans that are complete.
What I have found, either is not for an MX5 or there is missing details or dimensions.
Or the link just will not work.
Lots of nice 3D pictures showing good looking designs.
But not the total package.

At this point, I'm thinking of just doing my own thing using existing ideas as inspiration.
Is this normal?
Or have I not gone far enough down the rabbit hole?

Please help if someone can.
Maybe re-post the link?
Do these things time out?
I'm no computer surgeon, so that may be my problem.
But I know how to click on a link.

I'm fairly sure both Vodou and Saturn build on the 'build your car on a budget' book, making changes as required for the MX5. So I'm not overly surprised there isn't a 'complete' set of plans. (I've never seen the book itself available for download).

Having said that, even with the Saturn plans and the book, I still had to come up with a few things that work best for me. For example, the MX5 designs use a complete rear diff with mounting points for the 'arms' of the standard diff. I didn't want to do that as I've seen several instances of those arms becoming a weak point. Talon put together a diff case for the MX5 diff so I bought one of those. This meant I could get closer to the Sierra wishbone layout as well as the diff mounting.
