Atlas crownwheel and pinion

Folks, i need to change my 3.44 atlas final drive ratio to a more bearable 3.75.

Does anyone have one about?

No thank you young man, my Koln axle has a 4.11 fitted in the car at the mo.

I'm after a better ratio for the Atlas i've got waiting to go in.

I would give Tom at Fostek a ring. He had some I think when I spoke to him about swapping mine out for a 4.63.

Extract from my mail.......

We have 4.63:1 sets on the shelf.

To give a "guide" to the cost involved, a 4.6 cwp set will be £225. The kit of parts to install one of these, such as the 2x pinion bearings, diff side bearings, shims, seal, nut, spacers etc etc is £125. There's a nominal labour charge to strip the axle, clean/inspect the parts and re-assemble/setup the new cw&p etc of £175. You'd get a fully assembled, properly built axle in return - which is fully 'overhauled' in the process due to new bearings and things.

Does that all make sense?

We can offer you a part/ex on your current 3.75, as long as it's in good condition, i'll have to get back to you with our offer though...

Thanks again for the email,

any questions feel free to call or email.

Prices exclude vat and p&p

regards,

Tom.

Cheers Tom, That sounds best, I'd better get the disc conversion done so I can send it to them.
