I'm not sure why but I think chassis look best in gray.

I ended up going for light grey, a lot of the old race cars had light grey chassis.

It was my second choice though, I wanted a graphite colour but couldn't get the powder coat at the time.

That silver one looks really good too.

I was told lighter colours are good for showing up cracks better. However Mines black as I wanted it to match the mainly black bodywork

ditto, went for black on mine, but I would go grey if doing it again to show up any cracks (i.e. as lotus 7).

Satin black for me. Very close to powdercoatt finish too, and is quite a foregiving finish IMHO

Orange looks amazing - and my favourite colour, however, I have decided on wrapping my car in BMW yas marina blue with black wheel arches. I think that a matt black chassis would probably be best match. The BMW colour was exclusive to M3s & M4s and had quite contrasting interiors such as red or white so maybe an orange or silver chassis might not be so bad. Anyone any good on photoshop to mock up a yas marina blue haynes roadster?

Cheers

Craig
