Chassis Finished (at last)

Having pretty much built the entire car I've just finished taking it to bits again for finishing.

The chassis is being picked up by the blasters in the morning to be prep'd for powder coating.

A fairly major milestone there, and looking very good too! If you don't mind me asking approximately how much does powder coating a chassis cost?

I cant see the bracket for the fifth link to the axle. I hope its just me as I would hate for you to have to spoil the paint job

Thanks

Not too sure on the cost yet.

Having 26 components like the wishbones, engine mounts etc blasted cost £25 and the powder coat cost £25 so £50 total for all the removable bits.

I'm guessing about £150 for the chassis for blasting/coating and collection/delivery.

It's there, I promise

I've driven the car so I'm pretty sure I haven't missed anything.

Looking very nice Andy Should look rather nice when its all been coated.

Did you buy those trailing arm mounts?
I made some like that a while back and put them on eBay.

Nope, hacked them out of some box left over from making the other bracets.

Wasn't the most fun the Angry Grinder and I have had together!

P.S. Thanks for all the positive comments!

Are you panelling the curve from the top rail to the suspension point where the rear wing mounts with aluminium?

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
