mk petrol tank

i noticed the other day that there are no actual hole where the pipe fixing on the petrol tank are

is this normal am i meant to drill them my selves or should they have come fully holed

i would have thought drilling them would leave bits of metal in the tank

which holes are you refering to (inlet, outlet etc...) and I'm assuming it's a steel or ally tank and not one of those beautifully crafted plastic ones?

Redeye,
Whatever you do, don't use the metal one you've got. It's imperitive you contact the plastic tank man immeadiately and place an order! Metal ones explode 50% of the time!**
PT's are brilliant, light, a bargain and wonderful and sexy too. And don't rust.

Was that good enough do you think David?

Cheers,
James

Drill the holes and swish the tank out with water and leave to dry.

Ever heard of a thing called a Hoover? I believe thats what the 'Plastic Tank Man' uses to clear his tanks of debris. An ally tank too, how novel, whatever next?

Use a changeable fuel filter. Simply clean it out after the first few hundred miles.
