Ground clearance

What is the usual ground clearance at the front of the indy, I have bought an alloy sump from a rs200 it is still protruding below the chassis by 30 mm what is the likely hood of this bottoming out??

For the road about 4-5" ground clearance. You should be fine. The rule of thumb is the sump protrudes an inch below the bottom rail so you're not much more than that.
