Blacktop sump

I’ve stupidly put my blacktop/st 2 piece sump on a pile of bits for the scrap man. I wasn’t going to be using it but i need one to store the engine for a while. I don’t want to leave it open to the air whilst it’s on the stand.

has anyone got one laying around. condition not a worry.

Could you not wrap the engine in craft paper soaked in oil then covered thoroughly with cling film?
I have done that a couple of times with corrosion sensitive stuff and lasted a good few years with no visible signs of corrosion.

Beware of what you wish.. for it may come true....
