Fireblade fuel pump mounting

I'm just working out where to install everything for the bike engine, where is the best place on a tiger Avon to put the fuel pump? Pics would help, I'm sure I read it should be near the tank to work correctly

I don't think ive ever seen a fuel pump in a kit car other than in the boot.

Reason being is that it would cavitate if it wasn't close to the tank and end up starving the engine of fuel.

On my carbs St1100 it's engine bay. Works fine.

Sorry should have said it will probably be 'ok' on carbs as flow and pressure is much less.
Nonetheless it would be better near the tank to be fair.

Put mine low, beside tank.

For a low pressure pump (carbs) it doesn't really mattermuch and both are common.
For a high pressure pump for injection is much better pushing fuel with a gtavity feed in so best mounted low at the back. Mounted above the tank or sucking a long way and you'll get cavitation resuting in both bubbles in the fuel and the pump wearing prematurely
