Not divorced myself, but I understand it can be a time and money consuming process.

Have you offered to buy her something to balance the kit car? I'd say a hat, but that;s perhaps a little presumptuous of me.

My wife didn't overly enjoy me building my MK Indy (or riding in it), but she didn't resist so long as I kept the cash flow working

I guess that I must just be lucky -

Went out a few years ago for a pair of socks and came back with a 3 series BMW touring. Went out a couple of years ago and ended up sending her a text to say that I had bought a 1949 MG TC in need of a full frame up restoration. Rather than complain, she's encouraging me on with the restoration so that she can buy some period authentic clothes to go out in it.

Our partners aren't that bad, they put up with a lot because of our hobbys.

SteveW. Fancy getting me some socks?

Nick. Don't think a hat would cut it, now a new top..... we know how women like a new top!!!

Slow down that man. Leave room for an up stage to soothe the news of forced induction!!

After 25 years of marriage my lovely wife is used to me turning up with:

massive TV
kit car
classic car
race car
jet ski
boat
etc

remember it is always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!!!

a proper bouquet of flowers from a florist always helps.....................................except in my case my wife is a florist
