Hehe - xmas bonus for me, managed to shift a faulty (won't spin) washing machine on ebay. Buyer collects day after tomorrow, which saves me getting it to the tip!
I assume that you correctly described the item and told the buyer that it was faulty?

I often buy faulty items. Most recently, my power shower front button snapped. Mira wanted £22 for a new front case. Got a faulty shower for £10 off
eBay and fixed it.
Done the same with my tumble dryer too, just to get the large capacitor to spin. Washing machine parts go for silly prices so a bargain busted
machine is worth a punt

I bought a Beko washing machine last summer for 99p. It also wouldn't spin. £6 worth of brushes for the motor and sold itto my neighbour for £70.
They also make quite nice smokers for fish. Metal, easy access at the front etc. Hell, most drums have holes in them for hanging hooks from
Although the tumble driers are best because the vent outlet is an easy way of sticking the smoke up 'em.

I had a beko tumble dryer which wasn't getting hot - a quick Google and press of the reset button and bobs you're uncle...
Beko have parts everywhere and since you're a LCB you should have been able to fix it.
Advertised as faulty, buyer has paid and collects tomorrow.
I've bought a new machine already and don't have time to fix it myself.
He knows what he has bought and I hope fixes it, gets some use or money from it.
the bonus for me is having it gone!
He will probably want to take it for a spin before he buys it.
Guy arrived at 09:05 and loaded it by himself onto how homemade scooter carrier fixed to his tow bar.
Really nice guy after fixing it to use, wished him all the best and thanked him for buying it.
Job done, nice person met and I hope he gets a few years use out of it.
We sell quite a bit of broken, 2nd hand or seemingly useless stuff on eBay for 2 reasons:
1) it will earn you a little money, every bit counts.
2) it saves you lugging it to the dump.
We also buy some of the most random things on eBay.
If its advertised accurately, don't try to predict what or who is going to use it. eBay is utilised by many people in many ways.
