Zetec 1.8 engine identification

I have a 1.8 silvertop Zetec in my Fury. I have tried to find the engine number to ID the engine but cant find the engine number anywhere on the block. Does anyone know why there would not be an engine number? Is there any way I can identify the camshaft that is fitted to the engine?

Many thanks

It should be low down on the block. Its also stapped on the head by the water pump. Hope this helps.

Checked the engine and the only number on is 928M 6015 CD, when I searched online with this number it was not recognised as a Ford engine number!!!! Looked at the head and it has 928 6090 ED on it along with another number 7K4TEA. I have searched online with these numbers but have had no luck identifying the block or head. Does the camshafts have an identification number on them?

I sold a 1.8 earlier this year and I struggled to find the number. Found it eventually behind the starter motor which on the 1.8 escort engine I had was on the exhaust side I think.
