Just got my R1 Indy mapped, what a difference.

Just got back from PDQ after getting a custom map done, and my god it's a different type of beast!

Before I had to be in the 8K+ revs to have any fun.

Now put my foot down in any gear at much lower revs and it just goes, it builds up the revs so fast, then when it's between 8-12k revs it's absolutely mental.

Can't believe something with only 140BHP could be so rapid!

Does 138 BHP and 64 torque sound about right at the wheels?, it's an 08 R1.

Here is the dyno graph, the blue is stock, and red is now, as you can see the lower revs were way out, hence having no power there.

The odd thing is loads of fuel has been added to the map so was expecting worse fuel economy, but on the drive home it actually got better and got 105 miles to £22 which is not bad. Before it was doing around 28MPG on moderate driving but it just did 31MPG!

Anyway very happy with how it drives now

I would have though it would be a little more. I've recently had my 06 r1 engine mapped on a rolling road at daytuner and got 150bhp.

Mapping makes your engine run more efficiently so you should get better mpg (depending on how driven :p )
