drum brake replacement

Afternoon All,

On the back of my seven I have drum brakes which are useless!

I'm looking to replace them but I dont fancy the complication or expense of a disc conversion (also I dont want them to be better than the front brakes).
So my question is what drum brakes will fit easily onto an english axle? And where can I get them?

I was looking a ford focus brakes but everything I've seen on ebay doesn't come with the backplate.

This is what I have at the moment:

There are later versions of the same brake - I have an English axle from a MkII Escort and I have very different 8" drumbrakes to those.

yep they look the same as my escort ones(the ones JAG posted), try and find a 9" drum setup. i've always had 9" drums but a mate changed from 8" to 9" and said it was much better. that was on track though, not sure if it would make any difference for road use.

Mine are the 8" drumbrake but I fitted a larger wheel cylinder to increase the rear axle effectiveness.

Standard was 19.05 and I fitted a 20.64 wheel cylinder.
