help choosing ECU

I posted in the wanted section earlier, Looking for an ECU and am still looking for one, and now I have been offered a Megasquirt 1 v3, I know its an older design, is it worth bothering with, and who can set it up in the South East.???? Engine is a 16v 4age, on ITBs

I'm no expert but I think v1 can be upgraded to V2 by adding a different bit in place of the CPU. So it could be a good starter.

^^^^^^^^ Thats what I have done. MS1v3 upgraded to MS2 by Phil at ExtraEfi. MS2 has a dedicated ITB mode and also has Enhanced Acceleration Enrichment, EAE, which I have found to be excellent in conjunction with one another for my 3SGE motor.
The MS1 will run the 4AGE as it is especially with the Hi Res code but the upgrade is just better in every respect.
He can also supply a bluetooth module to suit which neatly sidesteps the "serial adapter" problem which besets MS.

I had both an MS2 V3 and MS3, both very good.

The V3 Board can be upgraded to an MS2, just buy the new CPU and replace the old chip.

Cheers
Ian
