Has anyone been offered this Louvre tool?

Hi,

As I also have an old Austin 7 I receive posts from a Spares group on Facebook.

I don't know the person in question but one of the other group members appears to have had a louvre cutting tool stolen whilst in transit and was asking for help if anyone was offered it, probably in the Lancs area.

He posted the picture below so if anyone hears anything please let me know and I'll pass it on.

Have to agree with both the above. I'd imagine the thieves grabbed it knowing they could weigh in the steel for scrap hidden in amongst other steel or even in the boot of a car being weighed in.

The only place I can think of wanting something like that would be doing car bodywork in metal - either custom bodywork or maybe modifying tin tops for race/rally use.

That has got to of been weighed in for scrap by now, and as it looks home made, cant be resold

I feel for the owner, something like that cant be replaced easily, also, even if it was insured, it wouldnt be for much
