You may know this but when you pad the dash its good to glue to foam to the dash but not glue the vinyl to the foam- just secure it at the back. This helps prevent any wrinkles from forming

Thanks for the tip....

I am a little worried about when i snip darts into the overhang that it may cause rips to run round to the front?

I have now glued rubber tubing along the bottom edge and intend to pad and cover over the top of that to give the required radius/softness....

If the material has some stretch in it, then the job is pretty straightforward. One important thing though is not to cut the darts to the very edge- if you do they might be visable. If you cut them to within a few MM the stretch of the fabric should take up any slack....

Gauges are teleflex from haneline in California.
(there was a thread all about them a while back)

I noticed the rev counter appeared to be reading 1800 rpm... I am hoping that will sort itself out when it is wired in and isn't bust

Also - indicator stalk will be shortened so it does not block the view

Hey Dave,
your rev counter is ok, I have one similar in my boat, when you supply it , it will go ok. And when you will turn engine off it will still show for example 800 rpm until you turn key on (mine do in this way).

Dave, another tip. Bring the vinyl material inside the night before and leave it in a nice warm place. Airing cupboard or near a radiator. It will help with the stretch and will stop and wrinkles forming. Its the same technique as when fitting a vinyl roof, always wait until a nice warm sunny day so that everything is supple. hth

Cant be that bad? Can it? Well I spose it is tiger. At least its only a pinto loom. My recommendation, start at the dash and work out from there

I have worked out the dials and warning lights so that's not too bad but spent an hour last night working out the light and fog switches. problem is it bears no greta resemblance to Tigers wiring diagram and all the ifo available only tells me tat 'these 5 wires' are for the light switch... or whatever... so having to try and trace each wire to work out if it is main/dip/earth etc....

Still it wouldn't be fun if it was simple would it?
