Hi everyone is there a way to bypass the air inlet temperature sensor on ZX12R I have read you can put a resistor instead but this seems to be to trick the bike into thinking it's colder so making it richer I don't want this just want it to run as it should. I don't have the temperature sensor with the loom anyway!!
What have others done when using a sausage filter or air box. I have a modified air box from another bike. This is one of the last things to do before firing it up,
Or can I just leave it disconnected?

Just get a sensor and mount it in the Base plate of the filter?

I put my Temperature sensor on the base plate of the sausage filter.

The sensor compensates for air density change with temperature , I would not bypass it.

Your ECU would most likely show an error if it is not there.

At best, you could "tweak" the sensor with an additional resistor.

I had a Power commander on mine. 2004 ZX12r. along with a wide-band O2 sensor for tuning.
I believe early ZX12r ECU's can be remapped.

Don't skimp on any this it will be a waste. Don't ask how I know
I think the ZX12r engine deserves the best.

I got my MAP fairly good using a DIY O2 wide-band system. A single go on a rolling road at a DAX open day show some improvement could be done.

I reckon a 1hour rolling road session would have got it perfect.
