I am putting a hayabusa engine into an gt2 which i have ordered as soon as it is made. The problem is the loom needs some resistors inserting to by pass tip over switch etc. Does anyone know the value resistor needed?

Good choice of engine !!

Tilt takes a 68Kohm resistor
Sidestand takes a jumper
Clutch lever position takes a jumper
ECU needs a 150ohm resistor between O/Y and B/W
Engine stop switch takes a jumper

You can use standard 1/4 watt resistors but the larger 1/2 or 1 watt resistors are physically more durable.

You can also put a 6k8 resistor on the gear position indicator sensor to fool the ECU into thinking it's in 5th gear - gives more agressive ignition curves in the lower gears and takes off the 6th gear lower rev limiter.

Can't take the credit for finding these values, I got these from a chap called Walt who posts on the Yahoo BEC list.

I used these on my engine (2002) and it started first time !

Thanks mate. I am going to pick the resistors up today so will try them. Did you use the existing fuel relay and tank sender as well because i have been told that you cant use the existing fuel pump for the sva because it needs a cut out switch if the car is rear ended.

Tried today and started first time. Only problem now is i need an original fuel sender otherwise it shows up as a fault on the display.
