AN6 BIG ENOUGH FOR OIL LINES? ZZR1200

Evening All,

Ive recently swapped out a zzr1100 engine for the bigger zzr1200 engine, the engine swap is going fine but need some advise on the AN connections I've bought to swap out the OEM oil cooling system.

Ive gone for AN6 as I THOUGHT 5/16" bore would be enough...

whats everyones thoughts?

I've spent about £100 for fittings and pipe and don't want the chew to have to return it all and order in AN8 if its going to be OK.

AN6 for oil lines to cooler?

All is well thanks, yeah AN8 looks like a better bet - but the std lines on the Z are 7mm connections and 9mm bore line.

AN6 is 6mm connections and 8mm bore lines.

don't want to restrict flow or pressure either though....

My R1 didn't have a cooler as standard,I used 1/2 BSP iirc, not had any pressure issues so going large is fine!

Maybe ok then but for me oil temp was a huge issue so anything I could do to increase flow would have helped temps. Why not test it for a while and watch temps etc. If you have it all to test.

Thanks
