I GOT A JOB! HUUUU RAAAAAAAHHH!

As you may know i got made redundant just over a month ago. took a few weeks to come to terms with it, and then began applying for jobs with a vegence.

Today I got a call from one of the interviews I had yesterday to say they want to offe me the job.

pleased as punch, as I was starting to get a bit down.

For those in similar circumstances, keep plugging away. The man, he just can't keep good people down!

Yup, Project manager for the NHS, so a new sector which will be exciting, and a move from private to public.

Same money as I was on, a few weeks off with the kids and the car, and a few grand in the bank as a golden handshake from the last place. All in all its worked on for the better!

Your lucky, I work mainly in oil & gas or power distribution and have just completed my 12th week at home

But good luck to you, in the NHS you will never not have a job as my ex has proved

Congratulations!

I've been out of work since September, but to be honest I don't care!

I've started looking seriously now and am awaiting the result of recent interviews, but there were far more important things to worry about before - our good news is that after fourteen months of worry, my wife has finally been diagnosed with a treatable eye problem (affecting her balance and peripheral vision) triggered by pregnancy and she's not got a brain tumor, multiple sclerosis or a degenerative eye condition that they considered the prime candidates.

Wow Steve,

Makes you remember what really matters.

Richard, don't let the situation get to you too much, I let it all knock my confidence - but that doesn't help anyone. Something will present itself I'm sure.

Thanks to everyone else for their kind comments.

Except Joe, your giving the Mrs ideas!!!!
