Buying a cbr1000rr......parts list.

So iv managed to track down a guy selling a 2010 cbr1000rr engine.

He said he can supply me the following parts

engine
clocks
throttle bodies/injectors
fuel pump
complete wiring loom
coil sticks
regulator rectifier
airbox
tip over sensor

Apart from the obvious (exhaust etc) will I need anything else??

Just found out it's a 2008 motor. I heard they are weaker than 2010.

Some had an issue with the cranks (not all). I believe the problem was over-hyped and that those affected didn't die - they just made an irritating noise.

Best to check with Andy at AB Performance for the full lowdown though. The man knows everything there is to know about putting Blade engines in cars!

Was specifically the 08-09 model with the bronze/gold casings that suffered from the Crank Whine... Some guzzled oil too!
