price of prop-shaft!

thanks to the guys who gave me company's to try earlier, just wondering if £265 is an average for a new prop, with bearing, and the drive flange? wasn't expecting it to be that much! cheers.

I got mine from a place in luton - its either reco prop or auto prop - I dont remember.

For a custom job, asbolutly complete, with all new parts, to go from a sierra diff to a type 9 box wat 123 quid plus vat.

went right into car no probs!

if that £265 includes a TRT (torque tube to take out the driveline shunt) then its about normal price, but otherwise sounds a bit expensive to me. Mine was about £160 from Stuart Taylor I think, about 18 months ago tho.

Mine was £100 from a local chap, not including a slide piece which was £50 extra from Mach #1

Just realised something, Steve's price will be a lot cheaper as its a straight one piece prop going from a car gearbox to diff. In a BEC, you need a two piece prop with centre bearing, and it also really needs a sliding section in it to allow for any movement even with IRS, and its obviously essential if you are going live axle.
