Got it in an unusual manner too.
Wandered down to my local budget-style car rental outfit and asked what they did with unwanted motors they could no longer rent, due to their appearance or lack of test. When I told the guy what I needed it for, I was told I could take my pick!
I opted for a scruffy F-plate 1600 Pinto-powered hatch with tax, test and a 100,000 miles. The only proviso was that I return the tax disc and battery. Best of all, it was free!!
So just ask the question. They can only tell you to beggar orff!
