Smoke ventilation engineer, I go to the meetings, design the control panels, install the systems and commission them.
Low voltage 24v switch polarity motors or pneumatic systems.

Studying Automotive Engineering at Oxford Brookes. Have learnt more about cars by building one, than at uni. Its just advanced maths and physics with a automotive twist really.

Problem is even if i do get into motorsport the money is rubbish and the hours are very long. I was at Nissan last year on my placement and they offered my a job on my graduation, not the most exciting work, but its 8-5 and after 3 years its about 10k more than my mate will be getting at RedBull Racing.

God, what has happened to me! I used to value job satisfaction so highly!

I also work part time at David LLoyd Gym (maybe thats where the job satisfaction hope died!)

mechanical engineering student at imperial college london. not that i learn much engineering if any its purely theory most of which can never be directly applied practically and some of the senior people in the dept wonder why 85% of the graduates go into banking instead of engineering.

a few weeks back a girl from my course was in the workshop and couldnt work out which way to tighten up a normal rh cap screw, one of the technitions had to show her whilst trying not to laugh, and shes on for a first

Well thats the title. basically sort out deploying our pharmacy IT system into 2,400 shops and dealing with all the associated crap from an amazing array of sources as efficiently as possible.

i'm a car audio fitter for the nation's largest car accessory chain.

it sucks mighty ass, under-paid, under-appreciated, and now they've told us we can't even park infront of the shop anymore! been there 3 years now, and can't seem to leave. the job's too easy. minimum wage is a p!ss take.

going to uni in september though. studying motorsport engineering at uddersfeel'd. should be a laugh if nowt else.

Heavy end of the engineering food chain, self employed mechanical fitter/welder currently subcontracting at Corus Scunthorpe rebuiling one of the blast furnaces. Hot, dirty work but well paid.
