Help with name of a component.

I'm trying to find some rubber mountings, often seen on motorcycle fairings etc...

Its a square section rubber grommet which fits in the panel, with a crush tube though it, and large washer on each side. Which gives a slightly flexible mounting and spreads the load of the mounting point..

Is there a generic name for them, searching fairing grommets etc. results in single components with the bike related price hike, rather than per volume...

Cheers.

Pete.

I would start with a "grommet" but be prepared for something different.

Worth speaking to a motorbike dealer for advice?

I think what you are talking about are 'rivnuts'. Not the metal type but rubber rivnuts. That what I bought for my sons motorcycle fairing
