2 car trailer.
gaz_gaz - 30/1/14 at 09:16 PM

Hiya guys..

I'm wanting to take both my MNR and Radical on a Euro trip.
I know I've seen trailers that carry 2 cars before but can't find any for hire online.
Any of you know where I could look?

No help with the two car trailer but you could hire (or buy and resell) a transporter and pull a trailer.

I will drive one for you

how much do you want to pay?
how long do you want it?
when do you want it?

I dont doubt that some double trailers are stable.

Personally I would not go hacking around europe with one

Depending on budget I would hire a race transporter and a driver.

Contact Tiger Racing, they have a double deck 7.5 tonner

I have seen two-car transporters at race meets, four wheel trailers in europe with two cars on, but I think the only two car trailer I have seen to my knowledge was the MK one back in 2008, towed behind the sprinter van.

Obviously the key is to keep the weight down low, first car is in fairly conventional position, second car is put on first, on a deck pivoted at the front at about 2ft height, which then lifts just enough to get the second car in, engines almost touching each other.

Call Brian James, looks like the double deck could be retro fitted (see page 14)

Two short, small light cars: Make up/have made up a twin axle one (for sabilitbility) where the car nearest the tow car can be rasied up at the end over the trailer axle at enough degrees to have the second car parked under it half way ish, there by keeping the length of the trailer down and the wieght over the trailer axles. And not having to much wieght high as you would with a double decker job.
Bear in mind though where you are going and the regs on towing in which ever country. Does the trailer have to have a 'plate for example?
All the same, enjoy your trip.

Edit to say: this is simaliar to an earlier reply regards the car configuration.

One on the roof and one towed behind!
