Transportation...?

Anyone got any recommendations for transporting a Viento from Nottingham to Devon... preferably someone who'll look after it and be gentle...?

Try shiply.com, I use them and always get a good price.

Another vote for Shiply.com

I needed to get a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Milton Keynes to Penzance, Cornwall.
Got some very competitive quotes.

Didn't go with the cheapest quote, I choose someone who had a good track record of transporting 4X4's
Carried on a transporter rather than towed on trailer.
They arranged everything for me.
Collected & delivered to me exactly when they said they would do it.

The price I paid was less than I could have done it myself.

Give Bob at Kingswood Transport a call, He's based in Chard so in the right part of the world for the collection. I used him to move my Dax Rush a couple of times earlier this year and I would wholeheartedly recommend him. He can be found on Shiply (this is where I found him) but you'll get a better price dealing direct with him.
Drop me a PM and I'll give you his contact details.
Cheers,
IanM

i've used a few different people on shiply for kit transport.
all have been really good, even the ones which looked a bit rough with a -ahem- beaten up old crappy van.....

All took a lot of care over the car

There's a guy advertising over on the wscc forum who seems to be what you need. Not used myself.

Copied from wscc:

TextHello, I'm Iain and a new WSCC Trader!

I supply a vehicle collection-delivery service covering the UK, specialising in transporting vehicles to events, shows, vehicle preparation workshops, track days, etc. We also collect /deliver purchased vehicles on behalf of clients where the vehicle is not yet roadworthy or road legal. We are equipped with a remote control winch so we can handle non-running vehicles.

All vehicles are moved in a covered unmarked Large Eco race trailer so they are out of the elements and out of sight during transport.

We are fully insured and have many years of experience in transporting vehicles (CPC Qualified) including my own Westfield and each car is treated with care and respect as if it was our own.

Please contact me with your individual requirements so we can put a quote together based on your individual needs.

We are based in the Midlands in Stafford but cover the UK.

My mobile is 07803 280 406, and my email is freelanceserve@virginmedia.com

Just for general interest, I found this chap (The Mile Muncher - aka Andrew) on USHIP... http://www.uship.com/uk/profile/THEMILEMUNCHER2015/

Absolutely brilliant service at a great price, would definitely trust him to move anything anywhere for me.
