Nearly there!!!

Finally managed to get her out the garden and onto the road - quick sprint up the street and back highlighted just a few points to sort out and then SVA time....

*still got the protective film on the ali panels - but you get the idea!* Rescued attachment kitcarouttheworkshop005.JPG

Hi Gazza,

Cars lookin great, wonder if you could post a piccy of your car from the rear cos it looks like youve fitted the rear arches like i want to do mine.

Hard to describe but i mean with the chamfer shape towards the front of the car and the flatter profile at the rear - bet this dont make sense !!!! I know what i mean tho

Thanks for the comments - do you ever get use to picking the greenfly out ur teeth!!

Andybarbet - I'll take a piccie of the rear so you can see the arches.....

GaryM - wheels are superlights from Demon Tweeks (silver with a polished rim) - 6x13 with 185/60/13 fronts and 206/60/13 rears......

Tinks - arches are ok - all measured inline with the SVA manual....looks a little odd tho as the picture is on a bit of an angle plus the black edging makes the arches look a little shorter....

Cheers Gazza, pic would be great, im not sure there is a right or wrong way round to fit the rear arches but most seem to fit them the other way ???

I thought by fitting them like Gazza had, it would look really low and wide from the back, just like the Dax rear end...........and i like that - a lot

oh, i forgot.........the wheels do look great too. hope mine turns out as nice

What brakes do you have on it, the reason for the question is I thought you could not get 13" wheels on with seirra hubs and brakes.

Cheers, Andy

Pictures of the rear arches here - (not very clear but hopefully you get the idea!) - I like them this way round - also think it looks nice where the exhaust tailpipe sits in relation to the "slash" on the front end of the arch...

andy_mullin - brakes are 9" rear drums and standard sierra fronts with vented discs (although I do have a Willwood 4pot set up to fit to the front)... they are tight but do fit....

...and I know the front indicators may not pass SVA - some do - some dont so I'm leaving them as they are.......!

There is a set of those wheels on E bay at the moment 14" mililites on the caterham section I believe.
The front wings look to be in the correct position to me. my understanding is they have to cover the wheel not the tyre.

By the way that car looks great.
