help on some details

I need some help on some SVA details.

* Must a indicator switch be self canceling ?

* If I use an electronic device as anti theft do I still have to keep the original ignition switch from the Sierra and the lock for the steering ?

*I want to put my speedo after te steering wheel ( like westfield ), what about visibility regarding the speedo for SVA ?

* I will use Fiat Coupe rear lights, these have an intergrated FOG light, is this OK for SVA, or need it to be an separate Fog light ?

As far as I remember, the speedo should be OK as long as you can clearly see it with the steering central. The fog light I think would fail, as there is a minimum distance requirement between fog and brake lights.

Someone tell me if I'm talking cr*p!

HTH,
Matt.

indicators dont need to self cancel. the anti theft device must simply protect the vehicle, and not work on the brakes, and not be possible to activate when driving.

Beware! Bourettes is binfectious.

Hi

I had to lower my steering wheel for SVA, you must be able to see every digit on the dial. On my first test the examiner could only see up to 110 mph, the speedo goes up th 140

The rear hazard light has to be at least 100mm from the brake lights if I remember right and you need two means of immobilising the car. Removing the key qualifies as one and the other is usually the steering lock but could be some other method. The ignition lock can be anywhere, not necessarily on the steering column.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
