Anyone know where I could rent a garage?

I'm looking to get a Kart for my son (he loves driving it!)
This means I'm going to have to get a trailer too, and there's no room for this at my house, so I've been looking to rent a garage. Only I'm not finding anything local to me. Anyone know of any alternative ideas? It just needs to be able to house a car and small trailer, and be locked up and shielded from the elements.

Try you local Town Council, Parish Council or Housing Association. Most of the Council estates around here have groups of them. You do not have to be a council house tenant to get one, you just have to live locally. I have a brick built one that's owned by the local housing association, it used to be council owned. Cost me £25.00 a month.

They also have garage plots they rent out, you have to erect your own garage, unless you get one that someone else has left behind. These plots are only £25.00 a year to rent.

Regards
Jon

It is worth a few phone calls to local councils / housing associations.

Good luck.

I registered my interest with two local district councils - I got offered one within a matter of weeks - it contains the overspill from home garage.

I don't put anything in there that I would be distraught about if it got broken into or burnt down - that said it's in a nice area in a local village so unlikely. I pay £30 a month, worth every penny so Ican move around the home garage easier.

That is more or less how I use mine. I also stores some bulky tools/equipment in there for my business; scaffold tower, planks and general "not worth a lot" stuff .

Hmm, well it'd be kart, trailer and probably a car too...

I have found this though. Since it's secured it would be just as good, depending on what they mean by "secured"

I did consider using a container storage place - but they were far too expensive over here - might be cheaper near you ?
