Re-Test - IVA Pass!!!

As it says, IVA re-test passed today! Relief all round, as the 12 month max time allowed was running out.

So, to all those LCB members who contributed advice, useful tips, encouragement and the occasional parts, Big Thanks. Its been an interesting time & money consuming project!!!

Tested at Kidderminster VOSA test centre. Surprised to find it so quiet, no HGVs around. Then the tester told us that they no longer dealt with HGVs and trailers. Apparently these will be handled by non-governmental privately-run agencies, and some VOSA staff will carry out ther requisite tests, using these private outfits' facilities.

Building, fettling and making in an unheated, unlit rented lock-up. Tended to shut down over winter months.
Plus, having to cope with op for bowel cancer, (1 year off), and being stand-by carer (2 years) for ailing relative.
Oh, and working to maintain my marriage. All things which consume so much time.

....And I work s-l-o-w-l-y. But not nearly as slow as MikeR!!

Tester there (Keith) is very reasonable bloke. He has also tested factory-produced Westies. Ask him about them. As I noted in my initial post, this test centre was very quiet, since they're no longer doing the usual HGV test work. This was their main business, so plan is now to outsource to the private sector. No doubt the cost will increase.
