Interior panel edges

With things progressing well over the last few days I am starting to look at things a bit closer with regards to IVA

How do people interpret the IVA manual when it comes to the edge projection of panels mounted along the tunnel.

My panels are mounted on the rails, have no sharp edges and do no project over the edges, will I still need to make some sort of edge protection for these panels.

What have others done please?

This is mine

I used lengths of 20mm aluminium angle with rounded exterior edge which I bought at MK, looks really good.

I got picked up on this at SVA. I got round the issue by glueing some tadpole rubber trim along the edges. It looked OK and resolved the issue for SVA. Could have removed it after the SVA, but decided to leave it in place.

I trimmed mine with some car carpet. Easy for it to fall off again after IVA if you want, but I quite like it and I wasn't really trying to go for the lightest car possible (other wise I wouldn't have built a Viento), so it's still on.
