Cooling layout blade 929

Hi,

1, Has anyone got a diagram showing the coolant pipe layout for a 929 blade with a polo rad fitted?

2, What diameter hoses are needed? Any recommendations on where to get these from?

3, Any recommendations on what to use for the expansion / header tank?

Thanks in advance

Jamie

No diagram I'm afraid but here goes...

1. Straightforward top hose from thermostat housing to top of rad. Make sure it's downhill all the way. Bottom hose from engine to bottom of rad. Small dia pipe from top of thermostat to top of header tank. Medium dia hose ( to suit bottom connection of header tank) tee'd into bottom hose. Return pipe from oil cooler thingy tee'd into bottom hose.
We blocked off the little breather connection on our rad.
2. We used 32mm pipes, ally straight bits and silicon bends. We fabricated reducers to go from 32mm down to the 25mm connections on the engine.
3. We made our own header tank, pictured below. You could have one like it, at a price, or you could use a golf one, or similar.
Come and have a look at our install if you wish, we're only at Heanor.

Geoff & Eldon.
