Front Suspension - Damper Length?

Hi All, especially those who have reached the rolling chassis stage. Question for builders using "book version" chassis:-

What distance between your front damper (s/absorber) mountings, with the lower wishbone horizontal??

TIA
Dick

No response - so got off my a**e, assembled one side front lower wishbone, set it dead level (e.g. ride height) and measured the distance.

For all those interested, at ride height, the distance between damper mountings is 11.25". This appears to follow book spec., and meets the Nitron recommended fitting.

Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

If you are going Nitrons, I can say that they fit

There's a pic of my chassis with Nitrons in the photo's section. I couldn't reply to your mail as my Nitrons are in the bathroom and the rest of the 'car' is in a friend garage so they weren't fitted, sorry.
