Fury is still alive at Fishers, The Striker and Phoenix is with Raw, The R1ot is with Riot Cars and the Stylus is now in the hands of Stylus Sport Cars Limited (under new owner), Sylva in the post above is the J15/Vectis mid engine car. Not sure if the Jester or Mojo or the Star are still in production though.

So depends on what Sylva car you are after ?

Hi David, I was the guy that bought your Striker, I thought you might be interested to see what I've done to it (apologies to the OP for going off topic!)

I was and continue to be happy with my purchase, I ran it "as bought" for a few months and then wanted to put my own twist on it. Through very careful buying of used items, modifying parts and selling off the removed parts, I've probably put another £1300 into it, but it would be more than double that if I'd bought all new parts

Engine: I've managed to release some performance, I believe that one of the HT leads was breaking down, I put a new cam belt on it and found that the head to crank was 1 tooth of the belt out (odd as I know you used a garage for your engine work) and finally I fitted 75mm velocity stacks (trumpets) on the carbs - this is meant to improve the power delivery at lower revs. The result was a free revving engine, which picks up smoothly across the rev range. I've fitted a new wide core alloy radiator with a new fan and replaced all of the hoses with silicon type. Relocated and replaced the header tank (which involved moving the fuseboard too!)

Handling: I moved the battery from the front to the scuttle, although a bit higher up, it took a lot of the weight off the steering. I softened the rear dampers considerably as I felt that it was over damped for the relatively soft springs. I replaced the old steel wheels with Team Dynamic alloys, but to do this I had to fit billet alloy front hubs to convert the Vauxhall PCD to Ford, I was lucky enough to pick up a used pair designed for Autocross relatively cheaply. Various suspension bushes replaced

Electrics: I removed the Escort dash and stalks, replacing them with a Digi dash and Renault stalks, these have every single switch and button required, the only separate switch is for Hazard lights. Rewired the lighting circuit and stripped out unused wires from the Escort loom. Then fitted 4" Dominator headlights and replaced all others with new LED lighting. Imagine the fun with the wiring..... Fiat Twin Cam > Escort Loom > Renault Controls and a Digi dash!

Bodywork: I resprayed all of the fibreglass in Ford ST orange, other metal work such as the windscreen, scuttle and roll bar in Anthracite and used carbon pattern vinyl wrap on the sides and front mudguards. Aero style fuel filler cap fitted. Motorbike mirrors with built in indicators fitted

Interior: Seat pads replaced with Fibreglass shell seats and I fitted a Striker fibreglass dash, along with a custom made instrument binnacle

In all, I was happy with the car before and thrilled with it now, next steps: I have just bought an electronic distributor that I need to fit and have to continue with the interior, the dash and tunnel need finishing. I've also got to play around with the ride height as it sits a little high at the front

I’d be hard pushed to recognise it now!!
Glad it’s been given the attention it needed (and that engine is still in it - always liked it but thought someone might end up putting something more modern with less caracter in it)
My new one has a modern ford puma engine, so not as fun to tinker with, but does the job without a second thougt

Yep there's not a lot on the outside that's the same, but under the skin it's pretty much the unchanged, the good spec of the important bits is what attracted me to the car in the first place
I'd love to try a mid engine seven type car, I've driven mid engine cars, but the Riot must be a .....riot
