upper shock mount

just b4 i wanted to buy some new shocks i recognized that the upper shock mount on my car is a bit of unusual in terms of space:

the old spax fitted to the car already have a quite tiny upper shock-mount. (the "usual" spax do have a much bigger top-eye as i remember...or am I wrong?)

as i want to change to protech or gaz-gold i have some doubts that they won´t fit, due to their upper top-eyes being much bigger and therefore would interfeer with the chassis. any ideas?

The chassis top brackets do look a little tight for space!

From memory the top mounts on my MK Indy were larger than that. I'd suggest sharing the photos and some measured dimensions with whoever you're looking to purchase the new shocks from to check they'll fit before purchasing.
