UNF 35 suspension bolt nut size?

Hi does anyone know the nylon locking nut size for the UNF 35 wishbone suspension bolts where they mount to the frame? Am I right in assuming only the nut should be replaced as best practise and not the whole bolt? Does anyone know a place to buy the nuts only with the correct strength rating?

That is UNF, not UNC. And the 35 has nothing to do with size.... but it may be tensile strength???
Measure the diameter of the bolt, but I suspect it is 3/8, near enough 10mm. And uses a 9/16 spanner.

If you replace, use 8.8 rated bolts, and certainly not stainless.

Thanks for spotting the typo I've edited now to state UNF. I thought (maybe wrongly) 35 was the amount of thread e.g. 35mm on the end of the bolt. Thanks for the info mate

you could look at namrick
http://www.namrick.co.uk/acatalog/Home_U_N_F_Bolts___Nuts__15.html

though they were used on mini/triumph/landrover et al, so most classic parts suppliers should have them
what is you hub from?

ps, the radial lines on the head indicate the strength

Cheers Jacko

It was 7/16, I wanted to be sure on strength and thread etc. I called Westfield and it's the only size they do for suspension bolts, so was worth the 90pence each for the piece of mind;o)

Front is all fitted now in my latest vid
