How much front suspension travel?

Hi all,

How much suspension travel does the standard build get?

I don't know the technical terms, but if could give me how far it goes up from 'rest' and how far it goes down from 'rest' that'd be good.

I want to do a McPherson strut mod, and have to draw it all up before hand for approval from they-that-know

Thanks...

somewhere between 2-1/2 and 3-1/2 inches up and down from the normal ride height ( i.e. with your weight, half a tank of fuel, coolant, etc included) is about right.

The Caterham uses a 6 inch stroke damper on the rear and the elise has suspension travel of about 4-1/4 inches at the front and 4-3/4 at the rear.

Hope that helps.
