brakes draggin & sod's law failing

well it is sorted.

turned out to be a bent adjuster/handbrake plate.

the angled lever to the left of the green dot wasn't able to swing freely due to the bend so no amount of copper grease was gonna fix it.

unusually sod's law failed since I had a spare rear brake asembly that happened to be for the side I was having trouble.

cleaned up the spare, painted it, greased it and fitted and woohoo no more drag - that is a couple of bhp released!!

had to undo the 2 bolts holding the brake cylinder to help ease the plate out, right fiddly it was

downside is that this has cost me dearly - two nights of tw**ting around plus this was the reason why my bike speedo failed SVA - that cost me a retest retest fee, a session on a rolling road to get verification of speedo and petrol to the SVA centre to hand in certificate. grrr.....

even fitted the spring on the driver side the right way round to please mr whippy!

oh well, it's sorted now.

thanks for all the suggestions. Rescued attachment DSC03625.JPG
