Propshaft to sprocket adaptor

This is my Sierra propshaft. I just removed the "doughnut" and i came with this triangle flange. Could someone suggest how i am going to connect this 3-bolt flange with the 4-bolt sprocket adaptor fitted to the motorcyce engine? Rescued attachment Photo-0108.jpg

it needs to be profesionaly adapted and balanced have a look at what happens to ones that have broken due to being out of balance its not a diy job

You need to chop off the triangle and weld a four bolt flange on.


Most recommend a specialist prop shop as it'll need balancing after.

Yes, i know that the shaft should be professionally balanced, the question is how to adapt this flange to the sprocket adaptor. Any pictures from anyone?

I would send the prop to someone like bailey morris and ask them to convert it to a four bolt flange and then balance it. Having seen 2 let go this season, both of which cut a fuel line and wrecked motors and chassis rails and one which sparked up and gutted the car i just dont think this is a diy job. Baileys will definately do it for you, they are doing one for me this week

Oops - just got your U2u and noticed location so I am not sure my advice was very helpful, that said depending on budget if you want me to sort a new prop from baileys and ship it to you I will get a quote for you - would just need to know diff being used, full length, distance from sprocket adaptor to centre bearing and which prop adaptor pcd you are using.

Why not making a sprocket adaptor with the same 3-hole pattern so will need only to "adjust" the length of the prop and not making a new adaptor for the adaptor?
