A very wet day at Blyton Park

Ive had better days at Blyton but made the most it anyway and was nice to see a few familiar faces(Jossey,AdiThorp)

The new engine was superb and cant wait to get back for a dry session soon.

255bhp+595kgs=messy pants

Looks like you almost needed a snorkel for yourself and one for the car!

rob good to see you and some new people. Always enjoy going down to motivate gettign mine finished.

it was such a wet track.... you should see the picture of the ATOM sliding sidewards off the track im sure rob will upload but it was mad. I hear Rob has the video from the atom spin off as he was following.

PS thanks to Adi for the passenger experience which did scare me a little when we went sidewards out of the ump facing seriously sideways. (well kept and OMG)

This video shows a nice spin off....

This is just a few of the cars here. (may appear later if not live yet)

NO charge to spectate and no charge to be a passenger either if its an apex day. APEX team are really nice and great people. Come down sometime. I go down to every trackday. (i am only 5 mins away though)

Thanks

Despite the conditions I had a cracking day!

We were a bit delayed starting as they had to excavate a section of enbankment/tyre-wall to let some of the water escape. They then decided to use the new section of track, so the entry to the flooded area was relativly slow anyway but aquaplane central even so. In reality it was just 2 streams across the track, one after the other. The slow start to the streight was costing me about 15-20mph at the other end compared to a dry day last year. I only got one setion where the rest of the track was dry though. It's a very grippy track though even in the wet. Gives you a lot more confidence than say, Oulton... and there's better run off.

Can thoroughly recommend Apex. Well run, free passengers and free instruction. Good to see friendly LCB faces as well. Got about 150 miles in.

It held up ok Joe but i didnt have a lot of confidence to be honest as the car is a totally brand new setup now with the anti-roll bar at the rear and the Quaife diff so i didnt want to push hard especially in the wet until i get a feel for how the car handles.

Need another dry day to try it out.

I totally agree with Jossey and Adi that APEX were brilliant! Probably the best track day company ive been with so far.
